Combining the storytelling and papercut I have loved since childhood, I began working as an artist while employed as a university librarian.
I later moved into engineering and taught myself animation and AR development. Today I mainly create works that fuse hand-cut paper with digital AR, and I also direct VR pieces.
Alongside my practice, I support people in their self-reflection and self-expression through writing.
Unbound by any single medium or method, I work to create experiential pieces that reach people’s inner world.
How can a person live while expressing who they truly are?
That question sits at the root of everything I make.
Expression here is not limited to making artwork.
It is choosing what your own sense of beauty genuinely wants, rather than the answer society has settled on.
It is letting out what you have forbidden and held back within yourself.
Expression spills over into the words we spin each day, and into how we relate to others.
What I have thought about this question, I weave into stories as metaphor.
A heart shut away; a life bound by how things "ought to be."
An encounter with someone becomes the thread that slowly loosens it.
And the characters do not turn into something else — they reclaim themselves.
Papercut, AR, VR, dialogue through writing.
The forms differ, but each is a means of moving toward this question.
And I, too, am living this question through the act of creating.
